The bobby Nsegna experience: Opening sets and memorable vibes
From the first stretch, DJ Ananas leans into restraint. It’s not about grabbing attention immediately—it’s about earning trust. The pacing is intentional, rooted in R&B and soul, but stretched into something more fluid. Each transition feels like it’s listening as much as it’s leading, letting the room settle into a shared frequency before pushing things forward.
Picnics in piltover: An arcane inspired mix
DJ Ananas starts to fold in subtle disruptions—slight distortions, off-kilter rhythms, tonal shifts that feel like the ground moving underneath you. It mirrors that creeping tension the show does so well, where progress and privilege sit right next to instability. It’s the sonic equivalent of realizing that while Piltover is having its picnic, something very different is happening just below the surface with people like Jinx.
Untamed by Design: Wild Women
What makes Wild Women special is that it wasn’t assembled in isolation — and it didn’t stay tied to one night. Created live and shaped moment by moment at Dewey’s Jazz Lounge, the mix has since grown into something larger: a staple of the room’s sonic identity, even on nights when DJ Ananas isn’t behind the decks.
Wallflower: from novel to movie to a curated set
Wallflower is my own reimagined universe of that coming-of-age energy — a mix that pulls from R&B, Afrobeats, House, and the artists who soundtrack my life: Kaytranada, Kanye West, The Smiths, and more. It’s a journey about finding yourself, longing for connection, and chasing the feeling of that one person who makes the world click into place.
Carniroll: When Western Mass Took Center Stage
Coming from Virginia, it was surreal to be considered part of a lineup that blurred the line between hometown dreams and national spotlight. I knew if I was stepping onto that stage, I had to make it count—not just for myself, but for every creative from Western Mass pushing for their moment.
the first ever Island of misfit toys
The idea started one day in a record store. “When can I play some of my favorite records in my physical collection”. The answer was easy whenever at home ! The rest was history.
SKOPE MAGAZINE AHM & Fashion Article
The room came alive once the runway show began, thanks to Justin Haynes’s stellar designs, the expressive models, and the mixing skills of DJ Ananas. Guests were treated to live interpolations of Hip Hop, R&B, and Soul classics from artists such as Mary J. Blige, Kali Uchis, Soul II Soul, and Lauryn Hill. These artists transitioned seamlessly into one another thanks to original and infectious Alternative House beats. Many guests, myself included, couldn’t stop their feet from tapping and head from bobbing along to the musical stylings of DJ Ananas.
Curating Live for fashion
